Can I change my account
information?
Got a question we didn't answer here? contact us
1. Required information: choose a username, choose one or
more countries that best describe you, and provide a valid email address
2. Optional information: (not required for registration) this information will become part of your public profile.
3. An email will be sent to your email address, [please
check your email junk box as sometimes notification emails may end up there!]
with options:
Click on the link to login using your username and website-generated
password you can change when logged in at My World-> Edit Profile
OR
Click on a one-time login, it can be used only once. After
logging in, you will be redirected to My World-> Edit Profile and you can
create your password.
You can use -> My World: Edit -> to change:
password, email, avatar image and which country you are from; as well as
website usability preferences.
You can use -> My World: Optional Information -> to
add and edit everything else about you and your organization you would like to
share.
Unfortunately
your username is the one thing you cannot change.
We’ll be sad to see you go! If you do decide to leave us,
you can do so by clicking on the “Edit profile” link on your My World page.
You can use the world map on our home page to fly around and
search countries
The home page images for most popular and latest posts
will take you to the Discover page where posts, members and communities are
listed and tallied by category and country.
Discover page is where you can journey and search around
the site using the search and advanced search options.
We recommend using Discover page:
View all:
To take a look at the latest bloggers, posts, member post
comments, events, video and audio posts, and most popular posts, as well as
communities created by members and RSS feeds added.
To keep up with all the content, we have scrolls you can
use that show how many of these have been added by country and category
Tag Clouds everywhere!
Tag Clouds are clickable words that show all the tags
added by members in posts depending on the page you see, whether it’s My World,
Discover or country page. They are just another short-cut or side-track to
assist your openvizor adventures.
Blogger right-hand scrolls: Whenever
you read a post from a member’s blog, two scrolls appear on the right-hand that
will guide to through their works, by category and country.
Happening page: use the
Happening page to search events, jobs and commissions
Once you join, Your World will take you to My World page
where you can create and showcase your stories, favorites, friends, communities
and passions; as well as manage your output and plan arts and cultural
experiences.
From the Create Something page: Members post stories with
images, as well as audio and video stories with Google Map option, that can
give life and voice about experiences and events that members can comment
about, favorite, add their own tags and share.
You can connect your posts to communities you create or
join, celebrating your discoveries and passions.
Editing posts: You can always edit posts:
log-in, click on a post you have created, click on edit, from there you can
change/delete/add any part of the post or the whole post can be deleted.
Images: Each image has a
title (once a post is created, each image title takes you to image page, where
you can rate, comment, add tags and in-image tags)
1. Key Image : appears at top of post and
shown on front page and in listings.
2. Accent Images: these are
additional images that well appear on the post, below the key image. There are
no limits to how many.
Posting: 12 steps
1. Title: Add title text
2. Categories: Add one or
more using your keyboard 'Ctrl' (Control) button
3. Countries: Add one or more using your
keyboard 'Ctrl' (Control) button
4. Freetagging: A comma separated list of
terms to further assist in defining text category, helping search. (Search
system will search all text as dynamic)
Tagging Permission: Permission of
changing tags: Me, Friends or Public
5. Location on Map (using Google
Map): You can add multiple markers on the Location Map. Helping to visually
connect you post to a particular location(s)
6. Body: Add text and links
7. Input format options for Body text: Simply add text and links to advanced tools
- Filtered HTML [Recommended option for easy use]: Web addresses and e-mail addresses
turn into links automatically.
- PHP code: You may post PHP code.
- Full
HTML: Web addresses and e-mail addresses turn into links
automatically. Lines and paragraphs break automatically.
8. Key Image [important!]: this will be the main image for the post and will appear on the
website front-page and in post listings.
- Image title: The title the image will be
shown with.
- Freetagging: A list of terms separated
by comma.
- Tagging Permission: Permission of
changing tags: Me, Friends or Public
9. Groups: Audience:
Choose who can see your posts, choose one or both:
- Public: Show
this post to everyone
- Groups: Show
only to subscribers of the groups you have created/are subscribed to.
10. Subscriptions
- Subscribe option: Click this to
receive notification of replies or comments to this node.
11. Attached Documents (useful to add
leaflets and brochures)
- Attach new file: Allowed
extensions: doc, pdf, txt, ppt,
xls

From the Create Something page, go to Community: This
follows the same model as creating a post. You can connect posts to communities you create or join.
On the Happening page presents events, jobs and
commissions posted by members for the Openvizor community to comment, tag and
share, and add to their own calendar so they can plan trips to arts and
cultural events. Jobs and art commissions advertised to those who wish to take
part and those who are curious about how art works are created and events
produced.
